"Recently, I’ve begun painting and collaging on old wooden bowls.  The bowls, which show their age and experience, are literally made from the timeless work of women.  The bowls are often over 100 years old and I collect them from all over the United States.  Most of the bowls depict modern and mythological women and still lives.  Making paintings in these bowls and hanging them on the wall give them a new context.  Maybe they suggest a new world in which the identity of women is evolving.
